Description
Organic Arugula Greens Seeds
Grown and harvested in Ontario, organic Arugula Greens seeds take 21 days for baby greens and 40 days for full size maturity. Traditional, spicy salad green provides that bitter component that stimulates digestion. Leaves are long and dark green and deeply cut. Very productive plants can be used for cut-and-come-again harvests.
Planting Instructions
Direct seed in early spring as soon as the soil can be worked. For baby leaf production sow seed .6 cm deep in 5-10 cm bands, approx. 30 seeds per 30 cm. For full size production sow .6 cm deep, 10 seeds per 30 cm and thin plants 10-15 cm in rows spaced 45 cm apart. Sow every two to three weeks for a steady supply of fresh greens. Hot dry weather can cause the flavour to become too bitter so keep lightly shaded mid summer to avoid this. Floating row covers will keep flea beetles at bay. White flowers attract all kinds of beneficial insects. Hardy annual.
